Specialist, Software Engineer (ETL – Informatica & Oracle PL/SQL)

Nationwide’s Information Technology team invites you to work as a lead ETL developer on the SAP Commissions platform (NFCS). The role is hybrid, coming into the Columbus, Ohio office 2 days per week on Mondays & Tuesdays. You will design, develop, test, debug, document and deploy high‑quality ELT solutions, manage source code in GIT, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with SAP SaaS solutions, workflow processing, and reporting tools is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, develop, test, debug, document and deploy software according to standards in an agile environment.
• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and technology solutions from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Use Dev Sec Ops  practices, tooling, and techniques.
• Drive continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice, and innovation.
• Manage medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.

Typical Skills & Experiences:

Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or related degree (technology certificates may be substituted).

Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and

Skills:

Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript; strong knowledge of software development lifecycle; proven ability to solve complex business and development problems; ability to thrive in a team environment; insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.
