Testing Automation Vice President

Job Description

J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management delivers industry-leading investment management and private banking solutions. The team conducts user acceptance testing for applications used by Asset & Wealth Management Operations globally. The team is involved in all stages of testing from requirement gathering, test planning/design, test execution, defect logging/retesting and final product delivery.

As the Testing Automation Vice President within Asset & Wealth Management Operations, you will develop automated QA practices for applications. The role is based in Columbus, US and has global ownership for delivering innovative automation solutions in response to increasing business demand and the ever‑changing tech environment. The candidate must be a talented, hands‑on technologist with a good understanding of emerging technologies, varied experience across a diverse technology stack, strong leadership skills, an analytical mindset, creativity, and commercial focus.

• Guide automation testers on frameworks and automation standards
• Perform code reviews and provide timely feedback
• Collaborate closely with technology and business teams in BDD implementation
• Identify automation opportunities
• Manage stakeholder relationships
• Conduct automation feasibility studies
• Derive ROI from automation initiatives
• Report on automation execution and effort estimation

• Practical experience in test automation using Java, Selenium, BDD Cucumber, API testing, and database knowledge
• Expertise in BDD/TDD (Behavior Driven Development / Test Driven Development)
• Experience with continuous integration models and build tools such as Intelli
  
  J/Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, Bit Bucket/Git
• Understanding of web services based implementation – REST and SOAP
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, HANA)
• Automation framework development using core Java
• Experience with test management tools
• Knowledge of Agile practices
• Experience with cloud services/technologies – AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Zoo Keeper, Docker

• 15+ years of experience in automation and manual testing
• Knowledge of one or more automation tools, SDLC, and Agile frameworks
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent negotiation skills and decision‑making ability
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multi‑task and test different applications across releases
• People management experience with 8+ years
