The Software Engineer is responsible for configuration, customization, and development across Salesforce and Conga platforms, specifically CPQ (Configure Price Quote) and CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management). This role requires strong technical expertise and collaboration with cross-functional teams to execute enhancements, perform impact analysis, and deliver stable, scalable solutions within an Agile environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and build Salesforce and Conga elements such as Flows, Process Builders, Apex Triggers, and Lightning Components based on business needs.
- Implement CPQ/CLM configurations including product setup, pricing logic, catalogs, shopping carts, constraint rules, and approval processes.
- Develop advanced CPQ pricing components (e.g., Price Rulesets, Tier Pricing, Related Pricing) and integrate Apex code where applicable.
- Perform CI/CD activities including metadata and data migration using SFDX CLI, Jenkins, and Data Loader.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and testers to deliver high-quality, defect-free code.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Analyze technical impacts, conduct unit testing, and assist with automation test initiatives.
- Maintain application security, integrity, and adherence to best practices.
- Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for new and existing features.
Other Responsibilities:
- Contribute to system architecture and design discussions.
- Provide input on release planning and roadmap execution.
- Mentor team members and share technical expertise as needed.
- Engage in problem-solving discussions and contribute to issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deliver assigned work within agreed timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in modern software development environments.
- 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce configuration and Apex development.
- Strong knowledge of Conga CPQ and CLM, with a deep understanding of configuration components and pricing logic.
- Familiarity with approval processes, custom metadata, and Conga elements like visibility/search filters and ABO configuration.
- CI/CD experience using SFDX, Jenkins, and deployment tools.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
- Solid problem-solving, analytical, and debugging abilities.
Desired
Skills:
- Salesforce Developer certification.
- Experience with Sales Cloud; exposure to Service, Marketing, or Community Cloud is a plus.
- Familiarity with Conga X-Author template configuration.
- Experience with unit testing in Apex and exposure to automated testing frameworks like Playwright and Type Script.
- Understanding of database development and design patterns.
- Agile project experience in cross-functional teams.
Minimum
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Prior experience making changes within complex system architectures without introducing regression defects.
