Route Sales Support Driver

The Route Sales Support Driver builds solid, positive working relationships with customers, is highly motivated to exceed their expectations and requirements, and operates in a very competitive environment.

As an advocate for Vestis Uniform Services, the Route Sales Support Driver balances exceptional customer service with meeting and exceeding individual sales growth goals. The driver strives to generate goodwill and loyalty while performing duties in a professional manner at all times.

• Safely operate a company step van in a designated area to provide products and service to a variety of clients.
• Verify daily preventive maintenance of the vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Manage the daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
• Load and unload product in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information, making corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads/prospects, call prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts.
• Assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
• Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods, and clearly communicate these to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others, using safe precautions, proper tools and equipment, and adhering to all safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

• Minimum of 21 years of age, valid driver’s license, and excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with frequent customer contact.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify and solve customer concerns.

• Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures, depending on geographical location.
• Fast‑paced environment sometimes requiring irregular and long hours.
• Physical requirements:
  
  routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs, and load/unload product from truck without assistance; occasionally lift or maneuver 50 lbs or more; ability to bend, squat, climb, and reach.
