What Warehouse Operations Contributes To Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. It is also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
We are open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience. If you are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment you could be a great fit for our team. All training is provided starting your first day! This specific warehouse operations role requires the associate to work in the freezer.
Responsibilities- Follow established process to fulfill orders, including accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Cross‑train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
- Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Be willing to train for and be certified to operate material handling equipment as required by job duties. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.
- Comfortable working in extreme cold (freezer).
- Ability to lift 40+ pounds preferred.
- Prior MHE experience or willingness to learn (Walkie Rider and Reach Truck) preferred.
- Self‑motivated with ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to follow direction and change priorities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with technologies, such as computers or point‑of‑sale systems, a plus.
- Ready to work overtime as necessary to ensure all day's work is complete.
- Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
- Readily learn and apply new information and methods to work in the assigned area.
- Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.
- Handle routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
- Work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
- Adhere to all quality guidelines.
- Work under moderate supervision.
- Undergo regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
- Refer complex or unusual problems to supervisor.
$22.60 per hour (Includes shift differential).
