Job Description

Plan, organize, train, and direct Grocery Clerks; perform production and customer service functions; maximize store sales and profits. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities

Organize work, train, and schedule associates to consistently provide prompt, courteous service.

Respond appropriately to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Use Computer Assisted Ordering to manage merchandise and supplies, ensuring proper accounting of received products and stock levels.

Price and display merchandise, maintain signage, ensure product rotation, freshness, quality, and proper space allocation.

Engage and counsel associates in effective merchandising, customer service, product presentation, and promotional activities.

Implement company programs and adhere to policies, especially regarding a harassment-free and inclusive work environment.

Contribute to department budgets, goals, and results to maximize sales and profits.

Communicate effectively with associates and customers to foster a positive environment.

Maintain equipment and facilities safely and properly according to company standards.

Keep floor, shelves, and displays clean and sanitary.

Accurately maintain department temperature logs across shifts.

Assist with special projects such as inventories, store resets, remodels, and promotions.

Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.

Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
