Job Overview
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Health Visitor to join our universal Health Visiting service in the Colwyn Bay area, North Wales. Self‑motivated team players with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are encouraged to apply. The post holder will manage a caseload within a defined population, aiming to increase family resilience, improve population health outcomes, reduce health inequalities and safeguard children.
The role contributes to the public health mission in line with government initiatives and the Healthy Child Wales Programme. A degree or equivalent in Health Visiting and current NMC registration are required. Employment is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
The post holder will have professional responsibility for a defined population/caseload and will lead the delivery and organisation of the public health programme, delivering the nursing component of the Healthy Wales Child Programme to a 0‑5 age population in the local area. Based in the community setting, the practitioner will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for families and external organisations, with particular attention to safeguarding.
They will coordinate and delegate work within a skill mix team.
