The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, whether they are visiting as part of routine health maintenance or for life-impacting diagnostics. This role involves drawing quality blood samples and preparing those specimens for lab testing while adhering to established protocols. The PSR I builds trust and confidence with patients, clearly explaining procedures and performing safe, accurate blood collection.
ResponsibilitiesPerform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Maintain a safe and professional environment
Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established procedures
Maintain required records and documentation
Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Job Requirements:
Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
Work independently with minimal on-site supervision
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
Flexible availability (including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed)
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience:
Minimum 6 months required; 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred
Customer service experience in retail/service environments preferred
Keyboard/data entry experience required
Additional Requirements:
Must be proficient in using straight needles
Must be able to operate a computer EMR program
