Join a world-class radiology team at MSK Commack! As a MRI Technologist
, you will support the Radiology team at our Commack, NY outpatient location
. In this per diem role, you will perform advanced MRI imaging procedures with precision and compassion, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic quality. Role Overview :
  • Perform a variety of Magnetic Resonance (M.R.) imaging procedures that require independent judgment and ingenuity within an outpatient center.
  • Under the administrative direction of the Manager and under the clinical guidance of the Radiologist, perform a variety of MRI procedures while applying his/her technical ability independently.
  • Perform all examinations accurately, completely and efficiently, checking technical quality, and submits completed exams for physician to review.
  • Manage all aspects of the exam procedures to maximize exam efficiency while meeting patient needs.
  • Prepare accurate records and enters required data into information management system.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, safe environment, and performs quality control tests as assigned.
  • Treat those individuals (e.g., patient/family, client, center employee) who depend on the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the work as unique individuals in a respectful, courteous manner, and focuses on understanding and meeting their needs.
  • Work collaboratively with others to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.
Key

Qualifications:
  • Requires degree from a 2 yr AMA approved Radiology school or a 1 yr MRI technologist program.
  • New York State license in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registration (MRI) (R), and MRI certification (MR).

  • Schedule:

    Per Diem as needed, Flexed shifts between 8am - 6pm, Saturdays (no less than 2 per month), Friday availability a plus.
  • Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Regional Radiology

Per Diem rate - $75 hour
