GeneralPurpose of the Job
Responsible for the operational, managerial, regulatory and fiscal responsibilities of the Residential Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Works closely with staff to ensure all programs are in alignment with agency mission, values and governing principles and compliant with all guidelines and requirements.
- Responsible for providing leadership to staff, direction to program operations, development of systems, and promoting a positive and optimistic environment that is responsive to the needs of the individuals served, the staff providing services, and reflects the mission of the organization.
- Ensures that policies, procedures, and practices are in full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies.
- Develops, in conjunction with the Board, President/CEO, and staff a coherent vision for the delivery of program services, and the development of residents, and volunteers into leaders.
- Promotes and support teamwork in the Residential Program and throughout the Agency for effectiveness, efficiency of delivery of quality services.
- Assures quality and state‑of‑art delivery of services through on‑going instruction, oversight, and implementation of management information systems and continuous performance improvement. Use information for strategic planning/positioning, decision making, to improve services that are driven by persons receiving services, and all stakeholders.
- Works closely with the Residential Staff in all aspects of program management, service delivery, program implementation, staffing issues, staff development and community support.
- Ensures all sites and services are in compliance with contracts and reporting requirements, and helps to develop and monitor measurable outcomes.
- Takes the lead and makes recommendations to the President/CEO for ways to improve coordination and integration of programs.
- Works with staff and individuals served to assess needs and issues of the program and balance those needs strategically with resources.
- Develops new programs to address needs of individuals served. Creates service plans for new development opportunities.
- Works to identify and implement strategies to support the program work of the organization.
- Hires/fires, disciplines, performance evaluations of all direct management reporting to position.
- Ensures appropriate individual care, protective oversight, safety and health requirements, the general maintenance of the physical plant(s) and ensuring all regulatory requirements are being met.
- Ensures that services are delivered in a manner that is responsive to interests and desires of each individual and their family.
- Serves as program liaison within and between Agency, family, advocates and other programs and providers of services.
- Serves as advocate and provider for all issues pertaining to the individuals receiving the services.
- Functions as the primary liaison between UCP and LIDDRO Service Group in all matters pertaining to program participant's welfare.
- Works in conjunction with Accounting Department for the purpose of budget preparation.
- Conducts weekly group and/or individual supervisory meeting with management staff.
- On call 24‑hours 7 days per week.
- Performs all other duties that may be assigned by the President/CEO.
Manages subordinate supervisors in the Residential Program. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QualificationsEducation and/or Experience
Master's degree (M.
A.) preferred or five to ten years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Residential OPWDD experience is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $145,000-$160,000/year
