Perform higher level electrical component solder accurately according to work instructions, drawing specifications and/or engineering requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Solder batteries, chargers and accessories by hand according to supervisor’s directions and work instructions.
- Solder simple large component to low gauge wire, such as wires to connector pins, 10ohm resistor to wires.
- Through hole or contact/thermal fuse/ weld tab soldering wire gauge between 16
AWG and 26
AWG. - Wire soldering with wire gauge between 16
AWG and 26
AWG. - Maintain assigned safety equipment and hand tools.
- Maintain daily production records.
- Report product anomalies and damaged equipment.
- Consistently complete daily required quantities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience
Required:
5 years + - Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Skills/
Competencies:
Ability to read and understand work instructions. Assemble small objects in limited assembly space. - Work Environment:
Will encounter electrical and mechanical components. May encounter contact with various chemicals such as adhesives and compounds. - Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods sitting/standing and performing repetitive tasks. - Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time. Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed. Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Training Requirements: J-STD-001, IPC 610, IPC 620, ESD, FOD, General Safety, Production SOP
- Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
