Description

Oversees and assists with activities of labor time keeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general accounting duties. Assists in developing, coordinating and maintaining an integrated financial control plan of the operations, general accounting and budget tracking.

• Oversees, assists and performs various activities for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Job Costing, Job Invoicing, Equipment tracking and charging, and general accounting.
• In charge of tracking and entering payroll information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Oversees the use of the automated construction accounting system (COINS).
• Recommends improvements to financial procedures and systems. Implements written procedural and system changes as approved.
• Acts as backup resource for various accounting positions as needed and acts as liaison with customers, vendors, and project management staff, as needed.
• Identifies, plans, documents, and implements improvements to financial and department procedures through coordination and approval of Department Managers.
• Performs additional assignments as directed by supervisor.

• Four-year college degree in accounting. CPA preferred
• Must be proficient in complex invoicing, accounting and spreadsheet software applications.
• Minimum of three to five years of public or business accounting
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to deliver accurate reports and meet expected timelines.
• Sound knowledge of general construction accounting principles, payroll and invoicing.
• Computer skills and familiarity with the knowledge of basic computer hardware is required
• Experience with customer relations and service-related problem solving is required.

• Normal office environment . Routinely works from a sitting position with a computer. Repetitive typing and computer use required. Regular bending, twisting, and light lifting are common with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Occasional travel required.
