Permit Coordinator Lead role at HOOPER
General SummarySupervises a team of Permit Coordinators while also providing administrative support with permitting requirements for electric power construction projects.
DescriptionSupervises a team of Permit Coordinators while also providing administrative support with permitting requirements for electric power construction projects.
Principal Accountabilities- Apply for permits with necessary State, County, City, and Local agencies.
- Coordinate with project management staff to ensure all permits are issued in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other relevant parties throughout the permitting process.
- Communicating with clients about the status of permitting applications and responding to questions about the permitting process.
- Draft TCP Requests.
- Ensuring that all permits are issued in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Coordinating with other departments within an organization to ensure that all permits are issued in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized permitting process, including reviewing completeness, following permit conditions, and communicating upon receiving issued permits.
- Communicate with crew leaders on a continuous basis for submission of proper project paperwork.
- Keep track of all payment recipients for permits.
- Back up for other administrative duties assigned by manager.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Minimum of 6 years of related or progressive experience in permitting experience in the state of Colorado.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- ROW/Utility permitting experience is preferred.
- Clear working knowledge to know when a permit is required for construction projects.
- Work requires proficiency in the use of word processing software, spreadsheets, and email.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Demonstrated experience in working within administrative policies, procedures, and operations.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to field locations or corporate meetings.
- May require lifting of supply boxes or materials up to 30 lbs.
