Job Title: Club Language Specialist & MLS Team Operations Manager

Department: Team – Colorado Rapids

Business Unit: KSE

Location: Commerce City, CO – Dick’s Sporting Goods Park

Reports To: Director of Team Operations

Employment Type: Full Time – Salaried – Exempt

Supervisor Position: No

Compensation: $70,000 annually

Nature of Work
  • Facilitate effective communication for individual players with limited English proficiency:
    • Attend team trainings, meetings, and matches to act as official interpreter.
    • Accompany players to Club events as needed (media requests, appearances, video sessions, treatment, workouts).
    • Translate written materials between languages.
  • Manage and oversee language tutors for players and staff, including search, onboarding, and payment.
  • Assist with gathering and completing immigration or league‑related paperwork.
  • Creation, maintenance, and distribution of first‑team information:
    • Annual and monthly calendars (internal and distribution).
    • Two‑week schedules, travel itineraries, and Teamworks communication updates.
  • Work with the Director of Team Operations to ensure efficient operation of the first‑team’s daily environment (facility booking, catering, communication).
  • Coordinate logistics for all first‑team travel and events under the Director’s supervision:
    • Schedule flights, hotel and meal accommodations.
    • Arrange transportation for players, technical staff, and front‑office staff.
    • Distribute per diem and credentials.
    • Confirm travel arrangements for all away matches.
  • Perform match‑day responsibilities for both home and away matches:
    • Digital match roster and match coordination meeting.
    • Timely departure from locker room pre‑ and during match.
    • MLS competition requirements.
    • Manage player and technical staff ticket requests.
    • Prepare and deliver welcome package for visiting team.
  • Assist the Director in creation and management of the first‑team operations budget.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Typical office conditions, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in extreme weather and unusual hours (evenings, weekends, holidays).
  • Frequent travel.
Qualifications
  • Minimum requirements:
    • English speaker, fluent English plus Spanish or Portuguese required; proficiency in a third language preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year experience working with multicultural clientele.
    • Minimum 1 year experience in sport, operations, hospitality or related field.
    • Driver’s license required.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience:
    • 1+ years as an interpreter/translator.
    • 1+ years within the soccer industry.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Interest and experience in competitive sports; soccer preferred.
  • Understanding of MLS and team structures preferred.
