Job Description

The Paraprofessional will provide support to teachers and staff in the classroom by assisting with the implementation of educational programs and services for students. This role involves working closely with students to reinforce lessons, assist with classroom activities, and provide individualized support to help students achieve their academic goals. The Para Pro will also help with classroom management, supervise students, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

• Assist teachers in preparing and delivering instructional materials.
• Support students individually or in small groups with academic tasks and assignments.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other events.
• Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom management and behavioral support.
• Provide support to students with special needs as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with grading, record-keeping, and other administrative tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification preferred.
• Acceptable background check as per O.C.G.A. 20-2-211.1
• Paraprofessional certification required
• Experience working with children or in a classroom setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Patience and a positive attitude toward working with children.
