Engineering Technician - Public Works (Part‑Time)
Are you ready to put your technical expertise to work on projects that impact the community? As an Engineering Technician, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Public Works Department through hands‑on engineering tasks and essential administrative functions.
The Engineering Technician is a key position assisting Public Works in a variety of technical and administrative tasks essential to the successful completion of projects undertaken by the department. Work involves performing a variety of technical engineering tasks in support of project planning, design, construction, inspections, asset inventory/data collection, and Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) request responses.
Hiring salary depends on experience, with a hiring range of $33.12 - $36.80 per hour.

Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Surveying, or a closely related field.
- Five or more years of experience in computer drafting, research, surveying, design, and GIS or asset‑management with ArcGIS.
- Proficiency using engineering software such as AutoCAD Map, ArcGIS and/or ArcMAP.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
Compensation details: $29.15 – $43.30 hourly wage (depending on experience and qualifications).
