Work Schedule: Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. 7:00am to 5:30pm. Hours & days can vary based on owner/GC requirements and workload.

ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.
PositionSummary
Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul vehicles and machinery, such as semi-tractors, scrapers, excavators, and other heavy equipment in the shop.
Essential Functions- Record details of repairs made, and parts used.
- Reassemble vehicles and equipment following repair, testing operation, and making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain, repair, and overhaul heavy machinery and vehicles, such as haul trucks, semi-tractors, loaders, scrapers, and hydraulic systems.
- Examine and listen to vehicles, read inspection reports, and confer with operators to locate and diagnose malfunctions.
- Dismantle defective vehicles for repair, using personal hand tools.
- Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools.
- Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment, grinders, or saws.
- Clean and lubricate parts.
- Tune or overhaul engines.
- Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, and other general machine tools.
- Use an android tablet and/or laptop to make a record of repairs made, labor time, and parts used.
- Diagnose, repair, or replace hydraulic systems and/or components.

- Education: High School Graduate or GED required. Associate degree in Diesel Mechanics or work equivalent not required.
- Experience: 5 plus years of experience in heavy equipment repair preferred not required.

Familiar with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and standard functions of transferring, saving, and inputting data on a computer. Able to operate a smartphone, tablet, and/or laptop. - Certifications & Licenses: Certificate related to diesel mechanical repair or 5 years of verifiable job experience preferred not required.
