Job Description Schedule3rd Shift: Wednesday - Sunday, 8:00 PM- 4:30 AM
Job SummaryResponsible for machine operation and crew in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine team to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Material Handler 1 and Light Equipment Operator 1 and 2 as required.
Key Duties / Responsibilities- Production:
Monitors performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed and issues are communicated to Supervisor. Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed. - Crew Leadership/Training:
Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members. - Quality and Waste:
Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Make adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and take steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles. - Communication/Record Keeping:
Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- 3-5 Years related experience
- Basic computer experience
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to lead as a cell leader (multiple machines).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communicator (share equipment knowledge, quality, and safety concerns).
- Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
- Mathematical skills, and advanced skills in production reports.
- Basic computer skills, technical skills may vary based on the equipment.
- Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language (Preferred).

- Lead, coach and maintain open communication with other production team members.
- Participate in the Team Business Meetings.
- Work prioritization to meet production commitments and goals.
- Machine staffing assignments.
- Machine processing speed.
- Ability to work overtime, beyond regular schedule, to complete work assignments as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks. All work environments that exceed OSHA's standard on noise levels require associates to wear the hearing protection that is provided.

The national pay range for this role is $18.70 - $32.10 hourly. The payrange may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee.
