Main Duties & Responsibilities
An Assembly operator must be able to assemble the minimum pieces required by management correctly every hour. The Operator must be proficient with all measuring tools required. The Operator must also be able to fill out documentation electronically and/or in writing, accurately and legibly. This position also requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and integrity. The Operator must have great self-motivation, excellent work habits, and work ethics.
They must be able to follow all instructions given to them by their leaders and Management.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and runs hand assembly machines.
- Identifies and assembles parts correctly.
- Identifies containers correctly per the bill of material and places all products in the correct container for lot traceability.
- Clocks in and out correctly in the company time tracking system.
- Logs work orders into company labor collection system in a timely manner, and correctly.
- Completes job operations in company labor collection system correctly and accurately.
- Collaborates well with other team members.
- Takes direction and communicates verbally and in writing in English.
- Becomes proficient in quality discrepancy identification.
- Becomes proficient in all manual assembly processes as required by the company.
- Identifies different product families.
- Assembles correctly all product families and assembles at required rate.
- Identifies each component on all assembled part families.
- Works in fast‑paced, loud manufacturing environment with occasional lifting up to thirty pounds, hot and/or cold conditions; always using proper PPE.
- Reads and understands qualification sheets, distinguishing conforming parts from non‑conforming parts.
- Follows all company rules, regulations, and management instructions without exception.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to thirty pounds.
- Must have some manufacturing experience, preferably in light fabrication and part assembly.
- Must be able to set up assembly station and operate all manual assembly equipment or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Compensation
Expected pay range: $18.99 - $23.65 for 3rd shift LG 5. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Additional incentives such as equity, commissions, or variable performance bonuses may apply and will be discussed during the interview process.
