Company Description
WINTER is a nonprofit organization with a mission to train, educate and prepare women for transformative careers in the construction industry. This position involves support for program participants. The person in this role ensures connections to the right services quickly, and that barriers to services are reduced whenever possible. Additionally, the Resource Navigator provides support and assistance to participants so they can successfully finish the program.
The Resource Navigator will act as a link by ensuring the timely connections are made between program participants and the recommended resources. This role is complex, requiring analytical thinking, a high degree of initiative, and independent judgment.
Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role based in Commerce, CA, for a Resource Specialist. The Resource Specialist will be responsible for providing support and resources to program participants, managing resource allocations, and collaborating with staff to effectively meet program goals. Daily tasks include coordinating services, conducting outreach, assisting participants in accessing needed resources, and maintaining client records. The role also involves conducting training sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong Resource Management and Analytical Skills for effective allocation and organization of resources.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with program participants and team members.
- Experience in Training participants and team members to improve skills and knowledge.
- Exceptional organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field is preferred.
