The Quality Supervisor is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining inspection, testing, and calibration processes in accordance with company and customer quality requirements. The role involves overseeing product inspection activities, supporting AS9100 and NADCAP audit activities, and managing the quality department’s personnel and training programs.
Responsibilities- Document, implement, and maintain standards, methods, and processes for inspecting and testing products.
- Document and maintain calibration and maintenance processes for measuring and testing equipment.
- Oversee the quality department training program.
- Ensure proper inspection and testing of all products.
- Document nonconforming products appropriately.
- Travel occasionally in support of company quality needs.
- Supervise, schedule, and develop quality department personnel to achieve overall quality goals.
- Support AS9100 management system and audit activities.
- Support NADCAP audit activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure that work area, tools, machines, equipment, measuring instruments, and chemicals are cleaned and maintained daily.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to address quality issues and impact on production schedules.
- Adhere to and enforce company safety rules; wear required protective equipment.
- Demonstrate initiative in solving problems related to laboratory equipment setup and testing.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of inspection and testing management experience in the aerospace industry.
- Application knowledge of military/aerospace standards and world‑class quality specifications.
- Proficient reading and writing in English, including technical manuals and specifications.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using fractions, decimals, algebra, and geometry.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and use precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Estimated pay range: $100,000 – $115,000 per year, based on qualifications, experience, and location.
