Manufacturing Engineer
The CNT Production Assistant Manager supports the daily operation and continuous improvement of the CNT (Carbon Nanotube) production line. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes while leading production teams, driving process optimization, and supporting cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and EHS departments.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, analytical skills, and hands‑on technical expertise to ensure compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Lead, coordinate, and oversee daily production line operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes, safety, environment, flexibility, and reliability.
- Set production goals and monitor progress through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality departments to ensure compliance with company’s change management process.
- Participate in new product launches, assist in establishing new part processes, and optimize manufacturing parameters.
- Collect, analyze, and present operational data to support decision‑making across departments.
- Schedule, train, and monitor Process Technicians and production crews.
- Promote a culture of safety by auditing operations, identifying potential hazards, and addressing unsafe acts or conditions promptly.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality regulations and procedures.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to production staff to encourage professional growth and accountability.
- Drive reliability and efficiency improvements in equipment operations and maintenance activities.
- Assign and monitor daily tasks while maintaining focus on job safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Support cross‑departmental collaboration to resolve process issues and achieve operational goals.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific or engineering discipline (preferred).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (required).
- Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory or team leadership experience (preferred).
- Experience in chemical or material production operations is a plus.
Technical
Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and production systems such as SAP and MES.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Communication and Leadership
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to train, motivate, and develop team members effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or off‑shifts as production demands require.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and positive work environment.
- This position requires regular on‑site presence in a manufacturing environment involving exposure to chemicals, machinery, and standard safety equipment.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
