Production Assembler

• Plan assembly steps and position parts using product knowledge, specifications, and blueprints
• Remove small amounts of material to clean parts or ensure proper fit
• Fasten components using bolts, screws, clips, rivets, or other hardware
• Install moving parts and confirm they operate smoothly; install piping or wiring as needed
• Align and connect the control valve to the assembled system
• Test, or assist in testing, the finished product
• Pack and label products according to customer requirements
• Regularly stand while performing job duties
• Use hands frequently for handling, adjusting, or assembling parts; reach with hands and arms
• Walk, sit, talk, and hear regularly
• Lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally
• Maintain required vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write basic correspondence
• Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small-group settings with customers, clients, and coworkers
• Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and solve routine problems involving multiple concrete variables
• Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to perform all essential job duties reliably and effectively
• Commitment to safety, including wearing safety glasses and steel-toed shoes, completing forklift training when required, using proper lifting techniques, participating in hazard-communication training, and understanding emergency procedures
