Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Rancho Dominguez, California. In this Contract to permanent position, you will contribute to the financial operations of a thriving wholesale distribution company.

Your role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and organization of financial data, supporting basic accounting processes, and collaborating with the finance team to maintain compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Perform accurate data entry tasks to record financial transactions and maintain organized records.

- Utilize Excel spreadsheets and accounting software to manage and analyze financial information.

- Assist in reconciling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank statements to ensure accuracy.

- Prepare financial reports and summaries to support decision-making processes.

- Maintain electronic and physical files for financial documentation and ensure easy accessibility.

- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and improve accounting workflows.

- Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and photocopying to maintain an efficient office environment.

- Uphold company policies, procedures, and accounting standards in all financial activities.

- Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism. Requirements - Proven experience with data entry and financial record maintenance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, Quick Books, or SAP.

- Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and process invoices accurately.

- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing practices.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Familiarity with wholesale distribution industry practices is a plus.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.
