Position Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of AiLO’s executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all daily operations and implementing the company’s strategic vision. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO ensures that AiLO’s operational systems, culture, and business processes drive growth, efficiency, and long‑term success.

This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can align strategic goals with operational execution—empowering teams, optimizing performance, and maintaining AiLO’s reputation for reliability and innovation in logistics.

Objectives of this role:
  • Collaborate with the CEO to define and execute AiLO’s organizational vision, mission, and growth strategy.
  • Translate strategic plans into actionable operational goals and initiatives.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations to ensure efficiency, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture where employees can thrive and organizational goals are achieved.
  • Serve as a key driver of innovation, integrating emerging technologies to streamline logistics and operational systems.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to design, implement, and optimize operational systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive the company to meet and exceed targets for profitability, sales, safety, and operational performance.
  • Oversee logistics operations, dispatch, fleet management, and workforce planning to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Analyze internal operations to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
  • Utilize performance‑tracking software to monitor key metrics, report progress, and forecast outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business growth and reputation.
  • Lead by example, developing a strong culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation.
  • Identify, mentor, and cultivate rising talent within the organization.
  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements governing logistics and transportation.
Required Skills and

Competencies:
  • 5+ years of executive leadership experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or a related field required; MBA/MS strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, business development, and operational leadership.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations, fleet management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Exceptional decision‑making and problem‑solving skills, even under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑building abilities, with a focus on collaboration and accountability.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
