Software Engineer; Full-Stack

Company Overview

A growing organization focused on optimizing logistics and warehouse operations through internally developed technology. The software development team operates in a lean, agile environment with fast decision-making, high ownership, and direct business impact.

Develop, operate, and enhance an in-house Warehouse Management System (WMS). Initially, this role will focus on addressing a growing development backlog while improving development speed and system quality. Responsibilities will later expand to other core internal logistics systems.

• Develop and maintain WMS functionality, UI components, and API integrations.
• Perform detailed design, coding, and unit/integration testing.
• Gather requirements and operational challenges from warehouse staff and internal stakeholders and translate them into system improvements.
• Provide operational support, troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and perform database-related tasks.
• Recommend architectural and technology improvements for future development.
• Collaborate within a five-member software development team.

Required:

• 2+ years of professional web system development experience.
• Hands-on Node.js and React development experience.
• RDB database design and query experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Team development experience using Git or similar version control tools.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with technical and operational teams.

Preferred:

• Next.js development experience.
• WMS, logistics/supply chain, or e-commerce platform development experience.
• External API integration experience, such as Shopify or shipping/logistics APIs.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or LLM APIs (Gemini, Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
• Automation/workflow tools such as n8n.
• AWS, GCP, or Azure experience.
• Japanese language ability.

Ideal candidates are proactive, user-focused, and comfortable identifying operational issues independently. Interest in learning new technologies and understanding warehouse operations is highly valued.
