About the roleThe Project Management Team at Jacobs needs a Project Controls Analyst who will partner with Project Managers to ensure complete awareness of project cost, risks, and budgets. You will be a key member of a high‑impact, award‑winning team, responsible for client management, interfacing, updates and presentations at all levels of management. Your work will help shape project outcomes through advanced data analysis, cost control, and cross‑discipline collaboration.
Responsibilities- Monitor and communicate budget status, actuals, and forecasts, and produce monthly cost performance reports.
- Analyze P6 schedules, identify schedule variances, and produce status reports highlighting critical path and mitigation opportunities.
- Work with engineering, project management and construction teams to build schedules from scratch and track contractor schedules.
- Develop client and internal status presentations that effectively communicate schedule, cost and risk status.
- Maintain productive relationships across the project team to support timely decision‑making.
- 3–4 years of scheduling experience, proficient in P6 schedule analysis and reporting.
- Preferably, construction experience on complex projects of $25M and above.
- Experience building schedules from scratch while coordinating with multiple teams.
- Ability to explain variances, delays and track and monitor contractor schedules.
- Cost analysis and SAP experience is a bonus.
Must be local to the San Ramon / Oakland / San Jose / Monterey areas, and must travel to the office as needed.
