Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - CMC Cardiac Electrophysiology

Overview

Physician Assistant - Non-Surgical (PA-NS) provides medical evaluation and treatment of John Muir Medical Center patients in collaboration with and under the direction of the Supervising Physician. The PA-NS performs duties according to standardized procedures which have been developed collaboratively by John Muir Medical Center administration, medical staff, nursing, Supervising Physician, and other Advanced Practice Providers and approved by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board.

The PA-NS possesses preparation and skills in physical diagnosis, psycho-social assessment, and management of health and illness needs. The PA-NS assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients, provides information to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and counseling. The PA-NS provides healthcare in a collegial relationship with physicians and surgeons to patients at John Muir Medical Center. The PA-NS does not perform invasive procedures or assist in surgery in the operating room.

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in collaboration with Supervising Physician.
• Provide information to patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, and counseling.
• Work in a collegial relationship with physicians and surgeons at John Muir Medical Center.
• Follow standardized procedures approved by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Board.
• Do not perform invasive procedures or assist in surgery in the operating room.

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Physician Assistant - Required

• 2 years Healthcare - Experience in specialty - Preferred

• PA Physician Assistant - California Board of Physician Assistant - Required
• Certified Physician Assistant - NCCPA - Required
• DEA Drug Enforcement Administration - Required
• BLS Basic Life Support - Required
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Preferred depending upon Surgical Specialty

Shift: 08:00 – 17:00 (08:30? 17:00 as in original) – No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range: $95.76 - $143.64 hourly

Notes:
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Positions at JMH that are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word  exempt  on it.
