Environmental Engineer ; New Graduates

Overview

CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental Engineer to join our Water Services Group in Concord, CA. This position presents an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to apply their engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team.

• Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
• Operate under direct supervision to ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
• Conduct site assessments, adjust design parameters as needed, and conduct water quality analyses and modeling.
• Contribute to technical report preparation, documentation, and collaborate on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences.
• Create documents and presentations using tools such as ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CAD, Excel, and other software.
• Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities, providing a comprehensive project lifecycle experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 0 years of experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Amount of travel required: 10%
• Skills and abilities:
  
  Basic knowledge of computer aided design (CADD) 3D/4D software and practices; basic knowledge of engineering design principles; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.); good verbal and written communication ability.
