The City of Concord's Police Department is currently seeking customer-service oriented individuals who enjoy working in a highly productive yet fast-paced environment to serve as their next Detention Services Officer.

What you will be doing in this role:
Community Service Officers are an integral part of the Police Department, performing various routine law enforcement-related tasks that do not require the authority of a sworn police officer, thus ensuring the availability of sworn police officers to conduct more critical patrol activities. It is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual seeking variety and challenge in an area of law enforcement which does not involve criminal enforcement activity such as making arrests or serving warrants.
The current vacancy is assigned to our Detention program. In the Detention program, Community Service Officers (working title: Detention Services Officers) search prisoners; take fingerprints and photographs; collect evidence; complete booking records; house, feed, and care for prisoners in custody; transport prisoners to County jail facilities; escort prisoners to court; and complete the processing of all statutorily and court mandated registrants.
