Overview
Phlebotomist Float role vide blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, and collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information, process billing information, prepare specimens for testing, maintain patient and specimen logs, and provide superior customer service to all patients. Travel to additional sites when needed.
Pay and Incentives- Pay range: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour
- Float Incentive: $1.50/hr plus mileage reimbursement
Monday to Friday hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm. Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- Must have a valid California-issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for the license filed with the California Department of Health at the time of hire.
- + 2 years previous experience as a phlebotomist is highly preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record, if applicable.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to attend 2-week training in California.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
