Job Description
We are seeking an experienced or Senior Project Manager to oversee DFH projects from detailing through closeout. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, experienced PM who enjoys ownership, works well across teams, and keeps projects moving – on schedule, on budget, and to code – while maintaining strong customer relationships.
As the central point of coordination between sales, estimating, detailing, field teams, contractors, and customers, you will ensure seamless project delivery.
Job Responsibilities- Guide projects from kickoff to closeout.
- Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, scope, and trackers.
- Coordinate submittals, change orders, material releases, and job details.
- Track costs, contracts, invoices, and risk items.
- Proactively solve problems and remove roadblocks quickly, with excellent customer service.
- Partner with field leadership, contractors, and suppliers.
- Confirm materials, labor, inspections, and site access align with schedules.
- Visit job sites to check progress, quality, and compliance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout project execution & closeout.
- Provide clear, proactive and professional updates to customers and lead project meetings.
- Build long‑term customer relationships through reliability, follow‑through, and communication.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Estimating, Detailing & Purchasing.
- Maintain and build project documentation including SOPs, schedules, and Gantt charts.
- Prepare owner’s manuals, closeout packages, and final handoffs.
- Gather & use project data to improve processes and scale best practices.
- Contribute to training and mentoring team members as the business grows.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in Doors, Frames & Hardware.
- Strong knowledge of DFH systems, hardware schedules, and security compliance.
- Experience reviewing construction and project documents with a background in estimating and coordinating DFH projects.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and suppliers within project requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Zoho Apps, and custom project management software.
- Familiarity with PMI Waterfall and Agile concepts.
