American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Room RN for a Level II trauma center requiring 2+ years of ER experience and a CA RN license.
Details- 350+ bed, non-teaching community hospital setting
- 30+ bed ER, Level II trauma center seeing 45,000+ patients annually
- Patient ratios vary based on acuity and census, mandated by the state of CA
- 12-hour rotating evening/night shifts with 3p/5p/7p start times
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Typical schedule includes every other weekend rotation
- Float as needed within scope of skill
- Epic EMR used, prior experience preferred
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Some trauma experience required
- PEDS experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel experience required
- Two clinical references required, each covering the last two places of employment within the past year from a Nurse Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse
- Seven-year employment history required, including facility names, specialties, and dates, with explanations for any gaps over 30 days
- Current skills checklist required, valid within the past year
- Provide emergency care across a high-volume Level II trauma patient population
- Any color scrubs permitted, with details provided on first day
- Holiday coverage expectations to be confirmed upon offer
