American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with CA licensure for a Level II trauma center requiring at least 2 years of ED experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details- Work in a 30+ bed Emergency Department within a 350+ bed non-teaching community hospital
- Level II trauma center seeing 45,000+ patients annually
- Patient ratios mandated by the state of CA and vary based on acuity and census
- 12-hour rotating evening/night shifts with start times of 3:30 PM, 5 PM, or 7 PM
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Typically works every other weekend
- Float within scope of skill as needed depending on patient care needs
- Active CA RN license (or CA EMSA accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
- Some trauma experience required
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing assignment experience required
- Strong EPIC EMR experience required
- Two clinical references required from the last two places of employment, covering the last year, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or Director
- Previous employment history required for the past 7 years, including facility names, specialties, and dates worked
- Current skills checklist required (valid within the past year)
- Provide emergency nursing care across a high-volume trauma patient population
- Candidates currently working active per diem positions will not be considered
- Must be fully comfortable with the shift schedule and rotation requirements prior to consideration
