We are looking for Fire Sprinkler Helpers in our Concord NC branch to work in surrounding areas. Helpers support the Commercial Foreman with daily tasks on the job site. They report to the Commercial Superintendent/Manager and work under the direction and supervision of the Commercial Foreman.
Day to Day Responsibilities- Install Fire Sprinkler systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
- Work with the Foreman on the job site to follow procedures, blueprints, and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings.
- Connect fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools.
- Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools.
- Run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjust hangers, etc.
- Ensure systems are glued together properly and test the system for leaks.
- Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch.
- Work outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months.
- Stand, sit, bend, lift, and climb while lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Construction experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Travel within the local community is required with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites.
- Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check, including 10 years of employment verification.
