Overview
Cardiac Device Technician role at Emerson Health. The Cardiac Device Technician will report to the Practice Manager and is responsible for the daily review and documentation of remote pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders (ILRs) transmissions and alerts. Responsible for communicating changes in patient and device status to the supervising cardiologist/cardiac nurse practitioner in a timely manner. Manage patient data across remote monitoring systems, support patients with transmissions, troubleshooting, notification and scheduling of follow-ups and other administrative duties.
Handle device recalls, coordinate with industry representatives, and educate patients on device use and monitoring protocols, maintaining clear, collaborative communication with the clinical team.

- Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering in the biomedical field strongly preferred
- Successful completion of a full Cardiac Device Educational Program OR one year’s experience in Electrophysiology strongly preferred
- Experience
- 1+ year in cardiac device clinic strongly preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Current BLS certification
- HRS/NASPE certification preferred

- Computer skills required (EMR is Epic)
