Job SummaryReporting to the Section Leader, Mammography/Sonography, the Diagnostic Sonographer utilizes high‑frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data for medical diagnosis.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate of an educational program that meets eligibility for the ARDMS registry.
- Previous experience as a sonographer strongly preferred.
- Current registration with ARDMS; or ARDMS‑eligible with ARDMS achieved within 1 year of hire.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) healthcare provider required.
- Ultrasound scanning skills in vascular, OBGYN, abdominal and small parts required.
- Ability to understand oral and written medical/radiological/sonographic terminology.
- Comprehension of cross‑sectional anatomy and correlation with anatomical structures.
- Ability to identify pathological processes.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
