Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Medical Surgical Nursing Services, responsible for overall unit activity and efficiency and providing secretarial/clerical support to the department. Interacts with physicians, staff, and pre‑hospital personnel as well as patients and their family or significant others.
Minimum Qualifications- Education
:
High school graduate required. Secretarial or business coursework preferred. Medical terminology coursework preferred. - Experience
:
Previous secretarial experience with demonstrated computer and word‑processing skills required. Previous Meditech experience preferred. - Licensure and/or Certification
:
Not required. - Skills
:
Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal skills, telephone manners, organizational skills, data‑entry skills, computer skills, ability to multitask, ability to read, write and communicate in English, ability to maintain confidential information.
