Phlebotomist/Clinical Laboratory Associate – Per Diem

Under the general direction of the Client Service Manager and the Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomist/Clinical Lab Associate collects blood specimens for analysis and performs routine processing for all specimens submitted for clinical analysis, including registration, accessioning, and receipt requisitions into the Laboratory Computer System.

• Collect blood specimens for analysis.
• Perform routine specimen processing.
• Register and accession specimens into the Laboratory Computer System.
• Respond to changing needs of the department, including traveling to other locations for assignment.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certified Phlebotomy Training Course completion and certificate (preferred).
• Phlebotomy Certification (preferred).

• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• Previous laboratory and computer experience (preferred).

• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective phlebotomy skills.
• Must be able to switch priorities and respond to changing needs of the department.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
