Walden Street School is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma‑informed care. It provides 24‑hour comprehensive care, including an on‑site school, full clinical staff, nursing, and direct care staff.
Who We Are Looking ForAre you the Teacher’s Assistant we have been looking for? In this position you will convey your passion for educating others with a dynamic team, bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students.
CompensationPay range: $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary based on experience, education, licensure, certifications, and other qualifications.
Training and Development- Develop skills in providing enriching academic assistance for teachers and students in a Special Education setting.
- Create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students and role‑modeling effective coping strategies.
- Help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop life skills such as cooking, banking, vocational skills, and more.
- Work in a respectful, collaborative, and opportunity‑rich environment where every employee is valued.
- Earn a $2,000 bilingual bonus for new hires who speak a second language (other than English).

- Must be 21 years of age.
- Special Education or Mental Health setting experience strongly preferred.

- Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts as required.
- Will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de‑escalations to maintain a safe therapeutic atmosphere.
- Background and driving record checks will be performed.
