Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nursing) for their Concord, MA location.
Responsibilities- The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level-2 nursery.
- Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations.
- The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise.
- The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.
- Line responsibility to the Director, Obstetrical Nursing or designee.
- The Registered Nurse assures the safety of the patient population served by demonstrating age-appropriate skills in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
- The Registered Nurse develops, implements, evaluates and modifies plans of nursing care for patients and families.
- The Registered Nurse manages, directs, and supervises the practice of nursing, including the delegation of selected activities to unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of practice.
- The Registered Nurse attends appropriate in-service and continuing education programs commensurate with job responsibilities.
- The Registered Nurse participates in unit/hospital projects, which seek to improve patient care.
- Represents the organization in a professional manner in their interaction with others.
- Maintains communication with interdisciplinary practitioners to meet care objectives.
- Provides patient/family teaching as appropriate.
- Coordinates activities of multiple disciplines to meet plan of care.
- Documents plan findings and evaluation according to policy.
- Assumes responsibility for attendance according to policy.
- Meets requirements for mandatory in-services and programs for safety, emergency and competency.
- Supports the development of staff through mentoring, preceptorship and collegiality.
- Performs job functions specific to area.
- Will be required to provide coverage for Mother/Baby unit and Labor and Delivery
- Previous experience in special care nursing of newborns preferred.
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts required.
- BLS Healthcare Provider required
