Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of PACU, you will provide airway assessment and management, cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, pulse oximetry, and ongoing nursing assessment, diagnosis and intervention to all patients receiving any anesthetic that alters the patient's level of consciousness in the immediate post‑operative phase. You will use the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served on your assigned unit, as directed by nursing management.

Nursing care follows the philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. You will be accountable for the safety of the nursing care you deliver or supervise, and responsible to patients, families and significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum two years of medical/surgical experience required; critical care or emergency experience preferred.
• Licensure and/or Certification:
  Current license as a professional nurse in Massachusetts required; BLS healthcare provider required; ACLS required; PALS required.
• Skills:
  
  Excellent customer service skills; must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; computer skills required; ability to maintain confidential information.
