Job Description & How to Apply Below

Join a large, privately owned equine practice that delivers top-tier medicine without sacrificing work-life balance. With a 1-in-5 weekend on-call rotation, cutting-edge equipment, and an incredible support team, you can love your career and your life—every single day.

We are looking for an energetic and passionate equine vet committed to offering gold standard veterinary care to our diverse clientele. You will be an exceptional communicator who can lead our clients through complex medical situations with empathy and expertise. Collaboration is our secret sauce! Our dedication to teamwork improves our patients’ lives, grows the business, and makes us #The Fun Vets .

Our

Purpose:

We exist for the horse: to protect and fortify their health, to maximize their athletic potential, and to share in the happiness they bring us every day.

We are one of the largest independently owned equine veterinary practices in Massachusetts. While we have a strong focus on sports medicine, we provide high-quality care to patients ranging from beloved backyard companions to FEI-level dressage and eventing horses. At NBEA, our culture thrives on compassion, teamwork, innovative thinking, and the belief that great veterinary medicine should also be fun. #The Fun Vets

We offer a generous compensation package:

  • Base salary of $90,000–$110,000 tailored to experience
  • Annual production bonuses
  • Emergency fee bonuses
  • Premium health, dental, and vision insurance
  • PLIT coverage
  • Fully paid short- and long-term disability insurance
  • SIMPLE IRA match
  • CE allowance (travel & enrollment) and 10 days paid vacation
  • License fees and association dues paid
  • Fully equipped veterinary vehicle

To support high-quality medicine, you will have access to our vast equipment options, including Sound Digital x-ray units, 3m and 1.5m Endoscopy, GE Digital Ultrasounds, Pulse Vet Shockwave therapy units, and a variety of regenerative medicine options:
Alpha2-EQ, IRAP, Prostride, and PRP. Not to mention, technicians and office staff are here to provide full support.

While providing emergency care is part of our practice, an emergency on-call collaborative is established with two other practices. This allows the weekend duty to be only one weekend every five weekends of primary on call. Most associates work a 4 or 5 day per week schedule with flexibility based on caseload and season. Plus, we offer extensive mentorship and a comprehensive onboarding program to set you up for success!
