NOTEThis is a contract‑to‑hire position.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Own the video content strategy for syndication platforms, especially MSN.
- Plan and maintain the video content calendar.
- Write, edit, and optimize video scripts; provide detailed feedback to editors and designers.
- Optimize thumbnails, titles, and on‑screen graphics for engagement.
- Oversee video production workflows for speed, quality, and consistency.
- Manage freelance contributors, coordinate budgets, payments, and quality control.
- Track and report on video performance metrics and revenue.
You’ll own strategy, planning, and performance of Finance Buzz’s video content, with a primary focus on syndication platforms where revenue is driven by consumed seconds of video. You will also support publishing and optimization for You Tube and social platforms.
Role is highly hands‑on: topic selection, scripting, editing feedback, thumbnail optimization, and performance analysis.
Goal: scale video revenue from ~$15K/month to a $500K+ annual run rate while maintaining high‑quality personal‑finance content.
SUCCESS METRICS- Consistently maximize viewer engagement, watch time, and revenue.
- Improve retention, clarity, and completion rates through script optimization.
- Enhance thumbnail and graphic performance via testing.
- Build an efficient, scalable workflow.
- Effectively manage freelancers and budgets.
- Maintain brand consistency.
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities via metrics.
- Grow revenue toward $500K+ annual run rate.
- Establish Finance Buzz as a trusted personal‑finance video brand.
- 3+ years in video strategy, production, or performance‑driven video roles.
- Experience driving video performance, engagement, and watch time in a revenue‑focused environment.
- Strong understanding of video syndication platforms (MSN preferred).
- Hands‑on scriptwriting, editing feedback, and video optimization.
- Comfort managing freelancers and overseeing quality and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret performance metrics and translate insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in remote environments.
- Willingness to experiment, test, and iterate quickly.
- Openness to AI tools for scripting, ideation, and workflow.

Base salary according to market rates for nearest major metro. Compensation includes a base salary, profit‑sharing bonus, and competitive benefits. Future increases are based on performance.
