Applicant:
Patient Care Coordinator (Dental Office) – Concord – Per diem

Summary

Per diem position covering 3–4 days per week, hours between 8–5 pm, flexible. Permanent position year round. Under general supervision of Practice Administrator / Practice Manager or Assistant Practice Manager.

Primary access point for patients and families, responsible for timely, efficient, compassionate customer service.

Education

High School degree or GED required; must pass annual registration competency exam.

Certification, Registration & Licensure

None required.

Experience
  • Proven customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of medical office operations: scheduling, registration, electronic medical records, patient flow, billing, coding, charge capture, referrals, authorizations, payer guidelines, compliance, credentials, privileges, regulatory agencies, DNV standards.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Greets and assists patients; secures signatures and follows CHMG policies.
  • Obtains and verifies insurance and demographic information; makes collection attempts and provides education on available resources; reconciles work lists and reports.
  • Facilitates patient care between primary, specialty, and ancillary services.
  • Welcomes and coordinates intake of patient information, creates and maintains medical records.
  • Processes and routes incoming calls or requests and responds to departmental and practice inquiries.
  • Schedules, confirms, or reschedules patient appointments; works Televox Reports daily; promotes Patient Connect enrollment.
  • Distributes mail, faxes, and electronic documents; receives, tracks and educates patients on form completion requests.
  • Supports a culture of “yes” in support of a patient‑centered medical home.
  • Works independently and within a team on special, nonrecurring and ongoing projects; coordinates multiple aspects of projects, events, and complex activities.
