Psychiatric Emergency Services ED Clinician
As an Emergency Services Clinician, you will be responsible for the provision of services in the Emergency Department at Concord Hospital relative to the assessment of mental status and disposition, including the execution of legal orders, care coordination, admission and discharge planning.
Schedule: 8am-4pm
Responsibilities
- Responsible for 24‑hour assessments of clients boarding in the Emergency Room.
- Maintain all IEA paperwork and coordinate with court personnel, nursing staff, and client for IEA hearings.
- Maintain training and relevant knowledge of RSAs, HE‑Ms, and legislative changes related to IEAs, OTOs, and CDs in NH.
- Develop and coordinate disposition with Emergency Department medical providers, psychiatry, and patient collateral as appropriate.
- Apply strong clinical judgment in the development of clinical formulations, dispositions, and safety plans.
- Complete clinical documentation in accordance with medical necessity guidelines and agency standards.
- Complete referral packets and send them to eligible receiving facilities for inpatient level of care.
- Update tracking boards, communication logs, and record assessments in Cerner and Riverbend Electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in team and agency meetings, training, and supervision as assigned.
- Demonstrate flexibility, critical thinking, and promote client‑centered care.
- Support the Mobile Crisis Team and apartment guests in times of increased community assessment volume.
- Attend training, meetings, and supervision as assigned.
- Attain and maintain credentials at Concord Hospital.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Eligibility for a license as LCMHC, LMFT, LICSW is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health treatment environment is required.
- Availability for the night, weekend, and non‑traditional hours required.
- Experience working with adults and/or a forensic population preferred.
- A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance is required.
