Responsibilities- Administer employee benefits programs, enrollments, plan changes, claims, and conduct benefits meetings; communicate benefit information to employees, including new hires and existing employees.
- Process enrollments, changes and terminations of employee benefits.
- Serve as primary contact with carriers and third‑party administrators, responding to benefits inquiries from employees regarding status changes, plan provisions, and general questions.
- Research, explore, recommend, design and implement new programs to ensure best plans, value and options for employees.
- Provide guidance, support and education to employees regarding their retirement plans and assist with administrative support for those plans to employees, retirees and beneficiaries.
- Primary point of contact for employees seeking information with leave requests; provide guidance and support throughout the process.
- Primary point of contact with external third‑party leave administrators.
- Maintain working knowledge of federal and state requirements pertaining to ADA, EOOC, FMLA, NHPFML and military leave.
- Develop, implement and maintain leave policies and procedures.
- Manage administrative aspects of leave claims and work closely with payroll and managers to ensure leave time processing and tracking is accurate and timely.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field; or Bachelor’s Degree in an unrelated field with commensurate work experience.
Certification, Registration, and LicensureSHRM Certification to be obtained within one year of hire into role.
ExperienceAt least 3 years of relevant Human Resources experience in one of the following areas: benefits administration, leave management; experience with FMLA, ADA and Workers Compensation.
