General DescriptionReporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for scheduling and overseeing the daily operation of the Plant to meet customer delivery expectations while ensuring safety, product quality, and efficiency of process within the Plant.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS- Manages, directs, and controls activities for all manufacturing personnel.
- Scheduling of production activities.
- Participates in the evaluation and training of plant labor
- Directs employees to achieve the best product delivery and quality.
- Responsible for overall quality and cast performance for every roll.
- Learn to operate new equipment.
- Complete paperwork as necessary on factory orders and roll receiving reports.
- Be willing and able to proficiently perform all tasks with or without supervision.
- Ensures the SPI and industry standards are met for all rolls.
- Responsible for reporting issues or concerns to the Plant Manager or his / her deligate.
- Supports equipment reliability and Plant maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or their deligate.
- Education:
Basic: A high school diploma (or equivalent). Preferred: a Bachelors Degree in Engineering in a related field or relevant experience - Experience:
5-10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a paper industry related setting. - Proven supervisory and leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonnel skills.
- Requires computer skills with strong skills in WORD, EXCEL.
- Multi-tasking capability in a high pressure environment is a fundamental requirement.
- May require occasional travel.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- High attention to detail
