Join to apply for the Experienced Carpenter role at BELFOR Property Restoration.

This position is responsible for providing operational support in reconstruction efforts for clients. Qualified candidates will oversee multiple projects and serve as key trainers for lesser-skilled carpenters. They are ideal CAT Team members for large-scale commercial reconstruction projects. Advanced carpenters are fully knowledgeable of all applicable equipment and tools, as well as the installation of commercial construction materials. They have experience with commercial, industrial, and institutional construction practices, including shrink wrapping, scoping, and leading installation.

Advanced carpenters may be candidates for the Estimator or Project Manager tracks. This role is Level 4 in the Progressive Carpenter track.

Responsibilities
  • Recognize potential problems and request guidance promptly
  • Train Carpenter Basic and Carpenter Intermediate team members
  • Answer project-related questions and escalate complex issues
  • Construct containment for dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants
  • Construct metal-framed walls, acoustical ceilings, and repair roofing as needed
  • Perform flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling of materials
  • Identify insulation types, thicknesses, and R-values
  • Apply skills in trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, and siding
  • Perform vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
  • Maintain attention to detail and safety standards
  • Understand customer service principles
  • Work under time constraints and meet deadlines
  • Work nights, weekends, and travel as required
  • Report work hours and resource usage accurately
  • Attend safety and operations training
Requirements
  • Supervise unskilled labor, BELFOR employees, and subcontractors in various settings and projects
  • Answer basic project questions and escalate complex issues
  • Maintain equipment used in daily tasks
  • Perform emergency services such as board-ups and securing buildings
  • Perform other duties as required
