Job SummaryThe Service Technician is skilled in assembly/disassembly and repair of heavy‑duty equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of heavy‑duty equipment. Candidates must supply their own tools.
CompensationStarting at $30.00 per hour. Pay is based on experience.
Sign‑On Bonus$2,500 sign‑on bonus.

- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, powertrains and fuel systems and perform repairs with supervision.
- Perform basic PM maintenance, parts replacement and remove/install major components with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate safe and considerate work habits adhering to company safety policies.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance and work area.
- Possess a standard set of mechanical tools (standard and metric).
- Accurately follow directions.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork for tasks performed.
- Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and typing skills.
- Move various types of heavy‑duty equipment into and out of work area.
- Attend and complete factory and regional training schools on specific products as required.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Prior experience in heavy duty construction or heavy equipment machinery.
- Prior experience in a heavy equipment dealership setting.
- Open to overtime as needed.
- Drive and will to learn on the job if lacking professional experience.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy. - Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, hydraulics, engines, etc.).
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced shop environment.
- Associate’s degree in diesel/hydraulics (experience will be considered in lieu of formal education).
- Desire to improve and advance with chosen position.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
